Hello Everyone!
I have been MIA lately but I have been busy and in a good way. I am following through on doing a little bit everyday toward my goals.... I have been consistent with the gym and keeping myself to the 4 day a week minimum workout routine (this week I am getting in 5 days, yippee!!). I feel so much better about myself when I am consistent, in the winter I do all gym workouts and I am really trying to focus on balancing my workouts. Sometimes I get so focused on trying to do allot of cardio but then that gets boring and I don't get to my weights, etc. I only have an hour at the gym so I have to make it work!
I have spent the last couple weeks working on getting more organized and even took two trips to my new *favorite* store The Container Store. I can not even begin to tell you how fabulous this store is for people like myself. I love to have things in order and this store has everything and anything for that! So I decided this years profit sharing check from work I was going to spend some towards organizing our lives at home. I have been diligent at making moves to get our lives more organized at home, some things I got done include: the spice cabinet in our kitchen (bought a pull down spice rack that folds into the cabinet so nicely, I have to admit I didn't install this my awesome FIL did), the junk drawer in the kitchen (now we have nice divider trays in there) and a mail sorter mounted on the wall near our calender (this will help separate things that need action, are pending, and need to be put into the file cabinet).
And more importantly- Adam installed this closet system we just purchased at The Container Store and I am in love!! Thank you so much to my handy husband (and cooperative children). Just to set the scene, we set the boys up in our bedroom with all their toys and even had a carpet picnic for lunch so that we could focus on getting this closet organizer in!
Adam also got to install our garbage disposal this week in our kitchen sink that we have needed for a long time now (you know the story..."the cobblers kids never have shoes" or something like that). So overall, 2 house projects in one week with 2 small kiddies & Adam working round the clock with his business = success!!
Speaking of Adam and his plumbing business, I am so proud of him. He is doing everything on his own, balancing paperwork (contracts & proposals for work), invoices and working all the time including nights and or weekends when he gets a service call. Things have been good for his business and he is experiencing "growing pains". But these are all good things! It was a sink or swim situation starting his own business and Adam definitely swam :)
As for the boys, Boden keeps proving to be one determined little guy and Eli says something funny every day it seems. I am amazed at how much both boys learn day to day. We have had a few play dates with friends over the past few weeks and keeping up with Eli's soccer class on Saturday's (he loves this class). Some things that Bo loves to do these days is climb the stairs and Eli's step stool to get on his bed. In fact I found Bo one day on Eli's bed and it totally freaked me out to say the least. It's like little Bo over here loves to challenge us, he is certainly keeping us on our toes to say the least! He also has really shown that he is in LOVE with his small Elmo stuffed animal, we have decided for his first birthday party Sesame Street will be the theme.

He also asks questions all the time; the typical "why" and "are we there yet". We are trying to get him to potty train more but it's a fine line right now with pushing it too much. We are hoping to set aside a weekend in March to focus exclusively on getting him on the potty as much as possible and not leaving the house for the weekend. My ultimate goal is to have Eli fully trained by our trip to Disney this August.

Here Eli is ejoying a chocolate chip cookie on our kitchen step down into the breakfast nook (because this has to be the most comfortable place to eat a cookie right?). Eli loves to bake with me, or shall I say watch the Kitchen Aid mixer in action! Either way he is an excellent helper :) When I told him were were going to make cookies he went immediately for the pantry cabinet & took out all the Christmas decorating sugars. It was so cute, he did't quite understand that you don't have to put colored sugars on all cookies!
